A couple of years ago when I decided to leave the corporate marketing world and move back to Denver to start a video production company with my childhood best friend Naren, we made sure that giving back to the Denver community would be a part of our company culture and something we’d commit to every year.
This year we partnered with Youth on Record (YOR), an amazing Denver non-profit that partners with 11 Denver Public Schools to build programs that help 1000’s of at-risk youth in some of the city’s most vulnerable communities to see the potential for a better life through music and the arts.
Giving Back with Our Cameras
The goal for our annual give back project this year was to produce a series of artist profile videos for Youth on Record’s 2017 Real Rock Star Awards winners. The videos will be shown to the public for the first time at the awards event taking place next week at Levitt Pavilion.
This year’s “giving back” project felt extra rewarding for the both of us because we both graduated from Denver Public Schools and it always feels good to give back to the local organizations and institutions that helped us get to where we are.
